Talk: Sukumar’s Settings For His Assistants

There are so many star directors in Tollywood at the given moment but there are none of their assistants clicked well as filmmakers. For example, no assistant of Rajamouli, Trivikram who clicked well as a director, but then, students of Sukumar are doing an exceptional job in that case. At least, they are making some noteworthy movies.

One thing that is being discussed right now about Sukumar is, how he helps his associates and assistants to get good projects. Long back, director Surya Pratap Palnati debuted as a director but when he is struggling to get a break, Sukku helped him not only with writing but has set up a producer too, and that’s how Kumari 21 F came out. Now, he did the same again for Pratap by giving him “18 Pages”. Recently Sukumar commented that Prathap is not sitting idle for years but actually helped him write Rangasthalam, Pushpa and Pushpa 2 as well. That’s not all.

Right now Sukumar is said to have made Prathap sign another big film with Mythri Movie Makers and soon this director will be carving his next movie with a big star. On the other hand, for Buchi Babu as well, Sukumar got “Uppena” for him, and is now said to have played a major role in setting up a project with Ram Charan. Looks like the star director won’t just leave his assistants to the wind, but will take care of them quite well. Good job sir!
