Finally, the much awaited trailer of star hero Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu is here, and already fans in Tamilnadu are blasting the fireworks. This hero enjoys a terrific fan following to that of Pawan Kalyan in Telugu states and no matter if his film clicks well or not, fans get goosebumps. But then, this time, the scenario is different.
While the action-packed trailer of Thunivu is quite impressive with Ajith playing the role of a dacoit who robs a bank at gunpoint, surely there is this immediate coincidence that is worrying fans and other movie lovers too. No matter how many times you look at Thunivu trailer, it is looking like an altered version of the “Money Heist” series. All the characters, including that of Ajith, Manju Warrier and Samuthrikani, get connected to one or the other characters from that superhit series that streams on Netflix.
As Money Heist became such a global blockbuster, surely Ajith should have avoided doing a bank robbery movie along similar lines. Otherwise, with no heroine track and mass songs, making it big with Thunivu requires lots of stuff and engaging narration inside the movie. We cannot write off a film with a trailer for sure, but it would have been better if they had avoided this Money Heist coating.
