Ajith’s Thunivu In Pongal Race, Releasing On Jan 11

The much anticipated clash has become inevitable. Tamil superstar Ajith’s upcoming film Thunivu (Thegimpu in Telugu) is all set for release on January 11th, officially joining the Pongal race.

Already, Thalapathy Vijay’s Vaarasudu is releasing on January 12 and we have Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy on the same date and Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya on Jan 13th.

There were speculations that Thunivu might move out of the Pongal race, but the makers made it clear with a poster announcing that the movie is coming on January 11, ahead of all the Pongal releases announced.

The January 11 release date of Ajith’s Thinivu gives it an advantage in all areas and it will be a plus for the movie in Tamil. Even in Telugu states, with no other film releasing on that day, Thunivu will have vast screens on release day.

Thunivu is directed by H Vinoth. Manju Warrier and others appear in crucial roles.
