“Your signatures could change the name, but you can’t forget or erase the name of the person who created history” is what Nandamuri Balakrishna stated in the trailer of his latest movie “Veera Simha Reddy”. This thundering Telugu dialogue is currently part of many memes, WhatsApp statuses and other places where politics is involved. And everyone knows why.
Apparently, the dialogue is a straight dig at the ruling Andhra Pradesh government which has forcibly changed the name of NTR Health University in Vijayawada. Despite the fact that there is enormously hard work from legendary NTR to set up that place, and also for the respect and sentiments attached towards the Nandamuri legend, the health university is named after them. But then, the YSRC government changed it with a single order, and Balayya’s dialogue in Veera Simha Reddy is hitting it out at the whole thing.
However, those who know how the AP Government’s heads work, are saying that this rubbing of salt into the eyes of political enemies pretty directly might cost the film Veera Simha Reddy dearly. This is because, they might publicly harass the film’s distributors, and exhibitor network and also hurt the good run of the movie like it happened in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab. We have to see what happens!
