Director Bobby presented megastar Chiranjeevi in a vintage avatar in Waltair Veerayya and it was Sushmita Konidela who designed costumes and also did the styling for her dad.
Sushmita says she didn’t need to do much research for the movie. “A few thoughts came to mind after hearing this story. Bobby wanted a vintage Chiranjeevi look for the character, like in Gang Leader. As we have seen all the movies of Nanna many times, there was no need to do much research.”
The costume designer affirms she felt amazing to see her father on screen in the vintage get-up. “This is my Nanna’s most comfortable zone. It felt like a big festival. In fact, every day going to the shooting of this movie was like a festival.”
Sushmita informs she is looking for a good story to make a movie under her own production banner.
