Top OTT streaming giants are competing with each other these days to grab films of particular star heroes. Back then, big producers used to continuously rely on one particular platform to sell their films. Dil Raju used to sell his films to Netflix, while Prime Video used to acquire the projects of Mythri Movie Makers. But now, the trend has changed as OTT platforms are picking films based on heroes.
After acquiring “Godfather” of Megastar Chiranjeevi, it now looks like Netflix wants to maintain all the catalogues of the matinee idol. They have now grabbed “Waltair Veerayya” as well from Mythri Movie Makers to add one more movie of Chiranjeevi into their kitty. Earlier, Khaidi No 150 was grabbed by Hotstar and Acharya was taken by Prime Video, but it looks like Netflix won’t give space to any other place when it comes to Chiranjeevi’s movies. Reports are coming that even “Bhola Shankar” was grabbed by Netflix only.
On the other hand, it looks like Disney+Hotstar is going to make the best use of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s mass movies. After taking “Akhanda”, now the streaming giant took “Veera Simha Reddy” as well. Looks like Hotstar wants to maintain that mass catalogue of Balayya for a long time by grabbing his movies back to back.
