Rajamouli Gives Clarity Over His comments on Hrithik Roshan

Director SS Rajamouli’s comment on Hrithik Roshan at an event that took place in 2009 constantly do rounds on the internet. At the event, Rajamouli compared Prabhas to Hrithik and mentioned that Prabhas is better than everyone.

The director is currently in the US promoting his film RRR as it campaigns for the Oscars. Recently, the filmmaker took the time to clarify a comment he made in 2009.

SS Rajamouli acknowledged that his remark was not appropriate and praised Hrithik Roshan for his acting abilities. The comment was made at a press event for the film Billa, directed by Meher Ramesh.

Rajamouli, who has worked with Prabhas in the hit franchise Baahubali, stated, “When Dhoom 2 released two years ago, I wondered why only Bollywood can make such quality films. Don’t we have heroes like Hrithik Roshan? I just saw the songs, poster, and trailer of Billa, and I can only say one thing. Hrithik Roshan is nothing in front of Prabhas. I’d like to thank Meher Ramesh (director) for taking Telugu cinema to Hollywood level.”

Rajamouli mentioned that he made a comment long back and the choice of words is not correct. However, he also said that he has respect for Hrithik Roshan.
