The whole country was proud to see RRR winning a Golden Globe award for the very famous Naatu Naatu song. But there were trolls that targeted the west accent of NTR during the brief talks on the event’s red carpet.
Tarak was heavily trolled for his accent calling it ‘fake’ and suggesting he should have gone with his actual accent that the folks in the USA can understand without any trouble. Some supported NTR and others denounced his accent. Meanwhile, during another interview with LA Times, NTR seems to have given addressed the ‘accent’ criticism or what it could be called.
Jr NTR opened up about accents and exploring opportunities in Hollywood, as he said, ‘We are just divided by time zones and a little bit of an accent. Other than that, what an actor goes through in the West is exactly the same process as in the East.’
Well, it looked like he spoke about as any actor’s mindset and thoight process from a regional perspective, but not particularly about the accent or the trolls. Will NTR respond to the trolls in an international media interview? definitely no!
