The late Sridevi, who was one of the most successful actors in the Indian film industry during the 80s and 90s, will now have her life story documented in a biography. Sridevi – The Life of a Legend will be written by Dhiraj Kumar and published by Westland Books this year.
Boney Kapoor, Sridevi’s husband, has described the actress as a force of nature who was happiest when her art was on display. He also mentioned that she was fiercely private and is glad that her biography will be written by someone she considered family.
Dhiraj Kumar, who is a researcher, writer, and columnist, will present a 360-degree look at the legendary actress’s life in the book. Sridevi went on to star in over 300 films in a career spanning 40 years. She was a versatile actress who worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema.
Sridevi received many accolades during her life, including the Padma Shri in 2013, National Film Award, several Filmfare awards, and international awards. Her contribution to the Indian film industry will now be documented for future generations to remember.
