Promoting a film is one basic responsibility of the team before and after the movie’s release. It is no exception for a star hero or a star heroine.
One star hero from Tamil, Dhanush attended the Telugu trailer launch of his new movie ‘Sir’ and is also planning to give interviews as a part of promoting his film. The Telugu audience is glad to see him doing this and irked about two other heroes for not doing it.
Two star heroes from Tamil, Ajith, and Vijay got their movies released in Telugu. But neither Ajith nor Vijay cared to give at least one interview or attend an event of the Telugu version’s promotions. Ajith’s case is different because the actor did not promote the film in Tamil also, but it is not the same with Vijay.
Vijay acted in a bilingual movie, which has a Telugu director and Telugu producer for his film. The Telugu audience opines it is his basic responsibility to promote the film in Telugu when he wants to have a decent market in Telugu states.
There is a simple reason why star actors like Suriya, Karthi, Vikram, and Siva Karthikeyan are liked by Telugu audiences. Though they are superstars, they come down to the Telugu audiences to promote their films here.
If a star hero from another language wants to capture the Telugu market with dubbed films, the least he could do is promote and meet the audience here. That’s what heroes like Mahesh Babu, NTR, Ram Charan, Aamir Khan, and others did earlier. In this context, Dhanush is getting all the praises for his Sir movie promotions with Venky Atluri as the director and produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.
