Why Did This Heroine Drop Her Surname?

When star heroine Samantha changed her profile name from ’Samantha Akkineni’ to ’S’ on her Instagram profile, there was a huge outrage on social media. But then, eventually, it has come out that she has separated from her husband Naga Chaitanya and hence the previous name change. But what would anyone think if an unmarried heroine does that?

Surprising her followers on Instagram, recently Bheemla Nayak fame heroine Samyuktha Menon who was later seen in the film Bimbisara, has removed the surname ‘Menon’ from her display name on the profile page. Many are wondering why this heroine opted for such a change, the actress stated that her mother got separated from her father, and her mother doesn’t want her to continue the ‘Menon’ surname. As a token of respect for her mother’s wish, she removed the surname.

Also, the actress stated in an interview that if we all need to have equality then surnames are not the good things to have. Well, these days, anything the film celebs do on social media is becoming a talking point and these popular heroines are just taking the game to next level with these name changes.
