Rajamouli Meets Netflix Co-CEO, What’s Up?

In the last couple of days, the presence of global streaming giant Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos in India has created a lot of discussions. He is here to take part in various events including a global business summit and meeting various creative partners, and also some officials as well as I&B Minister. And here’s what the talk of the town is.

None other than “RRR” maker SS Rajamouli along with his son Karthikeya, along with Baahubali producer Shobhu Yarlagadda, have now met Ted Sarandos at a special party hosted by Netflix other day. The picture of these people from the event is actually getting a lot of attention now.

Everyone knows that RRR got his global attention only after getting released on Netflix. And the streaming giant also pushed the movie big time and played a vital role in releasing it in theatres in the USA through another agency. This helped the film finally get an Oscar nomination at least in the Best Song category. On that note, one wonders if the Co-CEO of Netflix signed a special deal with Rajamouli.

Earlier, Shobhu Yarlagadda was supposed to do a Baahubali prequel web series for Netflix, but that project was scrapped after directors Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru shot the whole first season of it. Will they revive the Baahubali series under Rajamouli’s tutelage now? Let’s see.
