It’s been two years since Sudheer Babu has a theatrical release. While he was pinning high hopes on V and expecting the film to open big in theatres, he had got a shocker that the film would release on OTT platform. “Initially I was disappointed. I would be lying if I say I wasn’t disappointed at all.

However, my thoughts changed when I got to know that it’s releasing on a large platform and reaching about 200-plus territories. At the end, I’m very happy as an actor, I want my work to reach out to as many as it could,” avers Sudheer Babu who will be seen as SP Vivek Krishna, a police officer, in a mystery crime thriller V. “V will also be dubbed into Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam for digital audiences. But it’s gonna take time. On Sep 5, V will be releasing in Telugu with subtitles,” he adds.

Talking about superstar brother-in-law Mahesh Babu, Sudheer says, “Mahesh has loved the trailer. He was kicked about the action episodes in V. He personally has a good view on director Indraganti.”

“Nani is a brilliant actor. It’s a great experience working with him for V. Every day on the set was a fresh experience. I haven’t competed with him. It was just a face-off between two characters Vivek Krishna and Vikram Aditya. The chemistry between Nani and me is interesting to watch out for.”

“Nivetha is a good actress. She will be seen as a novel writer. For this film, I’ve acted with some of the best talents. It’s really challenging to compete with good actors and that’s how one improves,” adds Sudheer who divulges that his role Vivek Krishna is introduced with a special fight sequence. Sudheer adds that the action episodes have come out well and they’re going to be a treat for the action lovers.

“Director Indraganti referred to Brad Pitt in Fight Club and wanted more flexibility than fitness for the role. I obliged. Being a fitness enthusiast, I always work upon myself. So, it didn’t feel any difficult prepping for the role,” says Sudheer.

Revealing his upcoming films, Sudheer confirmed that he would be part of Pullela Gopichand’s biopic which would be made on a grand scale in pan-India level. He said he had recently finalised two projects and the films would be announced by the respective production houses. Sudheer said he has no qualms in acting for a prominent web series. He said he is always open to multi-starrer and web series provided good script. Sudheer said he would continue to produce films, web series on his production house.
