Somehow, Bollywood stars have come to the conclusion that rather than depending on trailers, song videos and teasers of the movie, if a film gets promoted through interviews, the audience is not liking it big time. Recently Shah Rukh Khan followed this policy for Pathaan as none of the leading stars or technicians gave a single interview to the media before the release of the film. And Akshay Kumar gave some interviews but then the film Selfie didn’t work.
Now, following in the footsteps of Shahrukh, it looks like even Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t want to give a single interview. Earlier for films like Shamshera and Brahmastra, the hero promoted them big time in each and every city, went to many TV studios, and took part in many programs, but the films haven’t got appreciated. Also during promotions, with the media always asking tricky questions, these stars are falling victim to controversies and ban-calls. That’s why, Ranbir will not promote his March 8th releasing movie “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar”, though he took part in a couple of TV shows like The Kapil Sharma Show.
Even Shraddha Kapoor and director Luv Ranjan are also not giving any interviews or doing the press meets, because they want the film to speak for itself on the coming Wednesday. Going by trailers and the songs, the sizzling bikini treat of Shraddha, surely the Ranbir Kapoor starrer will have a strong youthful opening. The rest depends on the content inside.
