Lover Boy & Bikini Girl @ Mixed Talk, Mixed Openings

“Tu Jhooti Main Makkar” is the film that featured the hottest version of both Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. While he is looking super charming, and she flaunted her bikini charms all over, they haven’t promoted the film at all following the lines of SRK and Pathaan. And then, it’s a Wednesday release, so how is the talk and collections?

Usually, there will be advantages when a film is released on a holiday eve, but then Holi holidays is like people will be indulging in colour games, so that’s a tough nut to crack until the film is really well. When it comes to Tu Jhooti Main Makkar, the film got mixed collections even before it was released as the National Chain Multiplexes are said to have sold only 1 lakh tickets so far. So Day 1 will be a mixed bag for the movie, and the rest depends on the talk only.

Initial reports are that the film is a routine movie but the ‘oora mass’ comedy, a strong forte of director Lun Ranjan, is terrific. Especially the second half and the 15 minutes of climax where Dimple Kapadia stole the show are being talked out. At the same time, Ranbir’s lengthy dialogues and Shradhha’s over-the-top glamour treat excited a set of audiences to the core.

On a whole, the talk and collections seem to be a mixed bag now, and by Saturday, the real fate of the film will be known. If it works by the weekend, then Ranbir will have another winner on hand.
