Casting Couch and Nepotism- both these are nothing new to actress in Telugu film industry. Actress Sameera Reddy, who has proved her mettle in the industry, and is now a mother of two.
She has been part of so many films in the south and Bollywood as well and has now opened up about casting couch, nepotism, racism, body shaming, and how she suffered.
Talking to a leading entertainment portal based out of Mumbai, Saamera said, “I was replaced in three films and wasn’t given a proper reason. Once, they replaced me with a Starkid and the other time, I got replaced because the actor was friendly with someone else.”
Sameera had said that she had once upon a time signed for a film and the producer called her to his office to tell her that she is not part of the film anymore. “He said, ‘You don’t have it in you’. I felt terrible and started doubting myself. I told my mother that maybe he is right, I am not made for films. But then, I was told by a well-wisher that I was replaced by a star kid and that the producer didn’t have the guts to tell me the truth. I can’t tell you which film it was but it was very early on in my career,” she said.
