NAATU NAATU WINS THE OSCAR !!

The moment we waited with bated breath is here. RRR’s Naatu Naatu Song won the Oscar in the Best Original Song Category. It is truly a historical moment!

Naatu Naatu winning an Oscar award is a dream come true for all Indians and particularly the Telugu audience. Naatu Naatu is the first Indian film song to be nominated for an Oscar.

The song became a global sensation inspiring many Instagram reels and dance trends on social media. The song was composed by MM Keeravani and the lyrics were penned by Chandrabose. Naatu Naatu already won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original song defeating contenders like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. It also won the Critics Choice award for the best song.

Naatu Naatu was earlier performed by the original singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairava while a group of dancers performed it on stage. The song received a standing ovation from the audience at the Oscars.

Naatu Naatu competed with ‘Applause’ from ‘Tell It Like a Woman’ — music and lyric by Diane Warren, Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ — music and lyric by Lady Gaga and BloodPop, ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ — music by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Goransson; lyric by Tems and Ryan Coogler, ‘This Is a Life’ from ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ — music by Ryan Lott, David Byrne, and Mitski; lyric by Ryan Lott and David Byrne.
