Brendan Fraser, the name is not known to many of these times, but they might know him as the lead actor in “The Whale” movie directed by Oscar winner Darren Aronofsky. But then, he’s known to most of the kids from the 90s as the hero of superb adventure fantasy films, The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. And here’s why they are excited.

At the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, Brendan Fraser walked away with the “Best Actor” trophy for portraying the role of an obese English professor who teaches online and has issues with his family, friends and all. No doubt, the trailer is enough to showcase what Brendan has actually put through into the film and how he breathed a soul into the life of Charlie. That’s not all.

For the kids of the 90s, he’s kind of a style and vibe icon, his attitude and mannerisms taking the world by storm. Later on, he hasn’t become the star hero he was expected to become, but then rolled into a circle of controversies including a divorce case, and the sexual allegations he made against Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s then-president Phillip Berk. His career got paused in 2018 with these controversies and everyone thought he was out of the film industry forever. But then, what a whale-like comeback this is.

At almost 50+ award ceremonies including Academy, Golden Globe and BAFTA, The Mummy star got nominated in the “Best Actor” category and won a dozen of them too including Oscar, Screen Actors Guild, Critics Choice, and HCA awards. For the people who love ‘The Mummy’ series, surely Brendan Fraser’s win is euphoria.
