After a long wait, queen bee Samantha Ruth Prabhu landed in Hyderabad to take part in the shootings of her upcoming and only Telugu film in hand, Vijay Devarakonda’s Kushi. While she is shooting for the film during the day, during the evenings she got busy with other meetings and other day got to watch a special screening of Shaakuntalam movie.
Though the film was originally set for Feb 17th release, Dil Raju and director Gunasekhar pushed the film for unknown reasons and the release got postponed. Before fixing up a fresh date, Gunasekhar and Dil Raju are said to have screened a special show for Samantha in Hyderabad at a private lab. Watching the film, the talented super starlet felt emotional about the output.
“And I finally watched the movie today! Gunashekar garu.. you have my heart. What a beautiful film! One of our greatest epics brought to life so endearingly! I can’t wait for our family audiences to be swept away by the powerful emotions! And all you kids out there… you’re going to love our magical world! Dil Raju garu and Neelima… thank you for this wonderful journey.#Shaakuntalam will forever be close to me! 🫶🏻🤗”, she wrote, after finishing the screening.
Some say that Samantha wanted to watch the final output before actually giving time to the promotions, and now, they may fix the release date and start promotions accordingly. A talk has that the film is in deficit as the OTT and satellite rights haven’t really helped recover the budget, and the film needs to do extremely well at the box office to make it big.
