In what we call a commendable and generous gesture, Balakrishna Nandamuri has made a decision that inspires many. In memory of his actor-nephew Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, the actor decided to take a generous initiative by announcing free treatment for cardio-thoracic ailments for poor people.
The surgeries for patients suffering from cardio-thoracic problems will be performed completely free of cost in the name of Taraka Ratna at the hospital Balakrishna has constructed at Hindupur and at Basavarama Tarakam hospital, Hyderabad.
Balakrishna has also named the H-block in the hospital at Hindupur as Taraka Ratna block, where the surgery and treatment will be provided free of cost. He has also pledged to purchase surgical instruments worth Rs 1.30 crore for the hospital to provide free treatment to the poor.
Additionally, children suffering from the disease will receive free meals and medicines for three months. It’s heartening to see public figures using their influence and resources to help those in need, especially in healthcare, where the cost of treatment can be a barrier for many people.
Appreciating the same, Taraka Ratna’s wife Alekhya Reddy shared an emotional note on social media, expressing her gratitude to Balayya Babu.
