Success and failure are part and parcel of the film industry. But once in a while, a movie ends up not just as a disaster, but as a major embarrassment to the makers and actors together. Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter is one such film.
Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter was released yesterday in theaters. The movie is unbearably boring that the shows got canceled on the opening day itself and the second day has been even more disastrous so far.
When a movie results as a damp squib, the hero and the director face the heat, but the sensibility and the judgment of producers are questioned if they are known for making good to great films.
Mythri Movie Makers and Clap Entertainment are the producers of Meter and the movie remains a big disappointment for both banners. Clap Entertainment came up with movies like Mathu Vadalara and Happy Birthday, which were small but different films. Needless to mention the kind of films Mythri Movie Makers associate with. Meter definitely does not appear like a choice of films that Mythri or Clap would want to make.
Also, it is time for Kiran Abbavaram to seriously retrospect his choice of films. Rather than signing in cringe-worthy films continuously, the youngster might want to focus on content to sustain for a long time. Meter has become a matter of embarrassment for the hero and producers, more than the director.
