Superstar Decides To Entertain, But Critics Upset

The legendary actor, Rajinikanth, has recently recovered from a health issue and is now back in business. His return has, however, attracted criticism from some quarters claiming he is motivated by money, though his fans are quick to refute the claims. Here is what we are hearing from some social media critics, who are blasting Rajni for signing back to back films.

Currently, Superstar Rajni is busy filming “Jailer” – an upcoming action-thriller directed by Nelson, and produced by Sun Pictures, while additionally taking on a cameo role in “Lal Salaam,” directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth. Furthermore, plans for his 170th movie have already been set up with Lyca Productions as a producer while Lokesh Kanagaraj is likely to direct it. They say that Rajni is charging nearly ₹200-250 crores for each movie, thus focusing on making money. But fans are unhappy with this talk as they feel that motivation isn’t wealth but rather fulfilling the wishes of his fans.

In fact, Rajni’s audience spans far beyond just Tamil cinema and stretches out to Telugu and Hindi as well. It’s obvious that Rajinikanth works hard to entertain those who love him and at this stage of his career, that is something very few stars do. That’s the reason there is no way we could say that he’s doing films for sake of money but nothing else. On the other hand, one wonders if he is amassing money to join politics one day.
