All of a sudden, Buzz fizzled out!

Gunasekhar’s ambitious project Shaakuntalam is gearing up for a worldwide release tomorrow. This mythological epic features Samantha in the titular role. Though we are less than 24 hours away from the release, there is still less buzz around the movie.

Right from the beginning, Shaakuntalam failed to create a huge buzz among the audience. Samantha is the only star factor in it. It is known that she was diagnosed with Myositis a few months ago. Even though her health condition was not good, Samantha participated in the movie’s post-production works and also promoted it across various cities.

Her active tours and interviews brought a good buzz around the film for a while. Recently, the makers held a private screening for viewers. All of a sudden, the buzz fizzled out. Suddenly, Samantha hasn’t been able to participate in promotions for the last two days due to her poor health condition. Her absence in the peak time dented the film’s promotions further.

As of now, the advance bookings are not great as well. We have to see if it turns the tables around with positive word of mouth.
