The Unbearable Extremities Of Lawrence’s Rudhrudu

Gone are the days when the Telugu audience used to get excited about the experimental stories in Tamil films. Many Tamil movies dubbed in Telugu were blockbusters. But things have changed in the last few years. Telugu filmmakers are bringing many new stories, while Tamil stories have stayed behind in quality content.

Except for a few, all the movies in Tamil are routine mass masala movies, including those from the star heroes like Ajith and Vijay, who made Thunivu and Varisu recently. When the star heroes like Vijay and Ajith are doing the monotonous stuff, we can expect what a hero like Lawrence picks.

Lawrence usually does over melodramatic or superficial movies. His new release Rudhrudu seems to be beyond everything he did so far. The mass audiences who usually love these routine masala movies also got their minds blocked by the extremities of Rudhudu.

Lawrence’s Rudhrudu can be named one of the very violent movies in recent times. Lawrence will be seen as a software engineer, but he will be on a slaughter spree most of the time. There is no emotion in the story but there are plenty of action scenes filled in it.

Priya Bhavani Shankar acted as the heroine in Rudhrudu and the romantic scenes between her and Lawrence are better left undiscussed. The sentiment scenes in any Lawrence movie are overacted, but Rudhrudu takes us decades back. All the actors including Lawrence suffocate the audience with their overaction. The mass masala routine movie lovers also could not bear this ruddhudu from Rudhrudu.
