Baba Won’t Be Interested In Directing Me -SS Karthikeya

Director SS Rajamouli’s magnificent work has created history with the Oscar win for Best Original Song, ‘Naatu Naatu’. With this win, SS Rajamouli has brought honour to India by becoming the first Indian production to win an Oscar award. SS Karthikeya, son of popular Director SS Rajamouli and line producer for RRR, recently interacted with the media to express his thoughts on his journey in the production industry. His mother’s advice pushed him onto a career path that he has since never left, going from being a Production Manager for Eega and Yamadonga to being part of the Second Unit Direction team for Baahubali then RRR. He also made it clear that acting was not something he leaned towards and had refused offers circled around this profession prior to the making of RRR.

“Baba (SS Rajamouli) is well aware of my acting capabilities and low interest in the craft. He likely would not suggest or encourage me to act, nor would he be interested in directing me”, he said.
