After a gap of more than 35 years, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are teaming up for a film. Tentatively called KH234, this film is currently in the pre-production stage. It will hit the floors later this year.
If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, Lady Superstar Nayanthara will play the female lead in this movie. Apparently, the talks are going on with her and she is ready to do the film as well. An official announcement is expected to be made once she signs the dotted lines. If Nayan comes on board, this will be her first film with both Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam.
On the other side, some other reports say that Trisha will play the female lead in the movie. Trisha worked with Kamal in films like Manmadhan Ambu and Thoongavanam. She also worked with Mani Ratnam for Yuva and Ponniyin Selvan series.
As of now, there is no clarity about whether Trisha or Nayan playing the female lead in the film. We have to wait for a few more weeks to get an official confirmation from the makers.
