Any movie that focuses on controversial aspects related to religion will face a tough time coming out to big screens. Many a time, the censor board will excise a good number of scenes and there were instances where the movie could not make it out of cans at all. A new movie appears to be in a similar scenario. The Kerala Story trailer was released yesterday and it is all over the news now.
The trailer of The Kerala Story shows the story of ISIS sleeper cells targeting the Hindu and Christian women and luring them towards changing their religion to Islam. Later they were shown being trafficked to different countries and being used as terrorists. The reports claim that there were incidents that happened to like these in Kerala earlier, but making a movie on a highly sensitive topic is what leaves onlookers astonished.
Sudipto Sen directed the movie and Amrut Pal Singh produced The Kerala Story. Adah Sharma who acted in several Telugu and Hindi movies is playing the lead role in it. Adah Sharma appears as a new joiner at a college and later gets influenced by a Muslim friend towards changing her religion to Islam. The trailer and the glimpses of The Kerala Story appear very bold and controversial.
The trailer is now a sensation on YouTube and is garnering millions of views each hour. Many anticipate that this movie will get a clearance from the censor just like Kashmir Files did.
