Three Disasters of Akkineni Heroes

The Akkineni heroes are beloved by Tollywood fans – and for good reason. Not only do they stick to their intended genres, but they often branch out into unfamiliar territories including thrillers, horror films, romances, and action flicks. This gives viewers a chance to experience something new while enjoying the same great entertainment they’ve come to expect from these actors.

This year has proven to be a difficult one for the Akkineni family, as their last three movies have all been box office disasters: ‘The Ghost’ starring Superstar Nagarjuna, ‘Thank You’ featuring Naga Chaitanya, and most recently ‘Agent’ starring Akhil Akkineni. Unfortunately, Naga Chaitanya’s Bollywood debut in ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ with superstar Amir Khan did not prove to be a successful endeavour either.

Superstar Akkineni fans are optimistic about the upcoming release, Custody. Scheduled to be released on 12 May 2023, this film is generating a lot of buzz and anticipation. Additionally, Nagarjuna’s teaming up with Dhamaka writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada for a Malayalam remake has excited his fan base even more. Akhil’s next project is reportedly going to be produced by UV Creations and helmed by an assistant director who has previously worked on epic films like Saaho and Radhe Shyam. So there’s a lot to look forward to!
