Sometimes few happening heroes take dumb calls when it comes to choosing scripts. They pick stories that were rejected by other big stars and end up making disasters. However, it looks like this mega hero sensed the calamity in advance, and took a good call.
Rambanam, an action movie starring the renowned actor Gopichand Srivas, hit theatres last Friday. The film has been declared a flop due to its over-dependence on commercial elements. Nevertheless, there is an unexpected twist to this story. Reports suggest that initial contact for the lead role in the movie was made with Varun Tej and even the mega hero contemplated doing it, as commercial masala films are not coming his way. Later somehow Varun realised that the story will be routine and he rejected it.
Eventually the director convinced Gopichand, through his friendship, and the actor took on the role only to score a flop. According to the reports, Varun Tej thinks it was a good call as he has two flop movies ‘Ghani and Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ already put him at risk of a hat-trick of failures. Thankfully, Dil Raju’s “F3: Fun and Frustration” provided Varun Tej with a much-needed break. With this in mind, he is avoiding taking risks with routine commercial films.
Varun Tej is currently preparing for his role in the upcoming motion picture, “Gandeevadhari Arjuna”.
