200 Days Of RRR – A Record Break In Japan

The song ‘Natu Natu’ from the RRR film has made history by winning the Oscar in the original song category. Furthermore, it has gained international attention quickly and is continuing to trend worldwide, while still running in the theatres of this island nation.

Legendary director SS Rajamouli’s RRR is making a splash in Japan, shattering the record set by Rajinikanth’s Muthu two decades ago. It surpassed previous box office hits such as Baahubali 2, 3 Idiots, English Vinglish, Saaho and Magadheera. Undoubtedly, RRR has firmly established itself as the top movie in Japan. December of last year saw RRR take the highest-grossing film spot. Breaking the all-time record that had remained unbeaten since Rajnikanth’s Muthu, a film released two decades prior, RRR has now clocked an impressive 200 days run at the box office.
