Hero Suriya, who had been struggling to score a hit, has finally broken the jinx with two back-to-back blockbusters, Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons. Many thought these successes would put an end to Suriya’s bad luck. However, looks like that is easier said than done.
Even after delivering two blockbusters in Telugu, Suriya’s next film, Scene, is carrying only moderate buzz among Telugu audiences. This is now worrying the trade circles.
Following the success of Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons in Telugu, there were good expectations surrounding Scene. Although the trailer looks promising, the film is somehow struggling to generate sufficient hype ahead of its release.
While the youth seem excited about the Suriya versus Naslen face-off, the overall buzz surrounding the film is still missing. The expected star power and pre-release excitement are yet to translate into strong audience interest.
On the other hand, the team has not started any major promotional activities in Telugu so far, despite the film being just three days away from release. The team is holding an event in Hyderabad today, and it remains to be seen whether this will help boost the film’s buzz.
