Naga Chaitanya is all set to make his OTT debut with Dhootha, a supernatural horror which deals with some inanimate objects wreaking havoc on the lives of people who commit deadly sins. The supernatural horror was initially planned in Telugu. According to Chay and the team Dhootha, the entire web series was shot in Telugu and the post-production was done. The series is said to have shaped up well. It is learnt that Amazon Prime wanted to dub Dhootha in as many languages owing to its universal content and make it reach to the Pan India audience.
“Dhootha shoot and post-production is completed. But it is only in Telugu. Amazon has a very big release plan for it. They want to do a proper nationwide streaming premiere of it. Dhootha will be dubbed in multiple languages,” Naga Chaitanya was quoted as saying. Chay, who just had Custody release, is quite excited about his OTT debut Dhootha. Interestingly, Dhootha is also Chay’s first tryst with the horror genre. The genre which has been elusive for Chay for a longtime.
Talking about the release date of Dhootha, Chay said, “Amazon hasn’t announced the date of Dhootha yet. It is going to be the later part of the year.” Also starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai in other prominent roles, Dhootha is directed by Vikram K Kumar and bankrolled by Sharrath Marar under Northstar Entertainment. Sharrath is known for producing quality content on OTT and avers that Dhootha stands out in his career.
