Vijay-Parasuram Film – A Plethora Of Rumours

In a surprise of sorts, director Parasuram who has delivered movies like Geetha Govindam and Sarkarvu Vaari Paata, has kickstarted his new film which has Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur of Sita Ramam fame as the leads. Tentatively called #VD13, right now there a plethora of rumours surrounding this film, right from inception to execution, here are some of them.

The first ever rumour that engulfed this project being produced by Dil Raju is that director Parasuram hasn’t stood on the commitment he made to producer Allu Arvind who has given him to back to back films earlier, including Allu Sirish’s Srirastu Subhamastu and Vijay Devarakonda’s Geetha Govindam. There are enough rumours that even Allu Arvind wanted to hold a press meet and reveal the same to the media, but that was cancelled at the last minute. At the same time, with Dil Raju setting up VD and Parasuram, it was heard that there is a fallout between the former and Allu Arvind as well.

After that, the news of the 14 Reels banner popped up as it is rumoured that the producers have asked director Parasuram to return the advance. The rumour further has that the director has to give up almost ₹14 crores for the ₹6 crores advance he took years back. Then comes the rumour about the heroine, that Vijay D insisted that they take Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, but then the director has fallen out with Raju and the hero over that, but finally locked Mrunal Thakur.

Another big rumour that is popping up at the given moment is that Parasuram has now made Vijay Devarakonda put a pause on his #VD12 which is being directed by Jersey fame Gowtham Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment. While the authenticity of this rumour is yet to be verified, they say that it might not be an issue as Vamsi always considers Dil Raju as his ‘guru’ figure in the film industry and has close relations with him.

Many are wondering how come so many rumours engulfed Parasuram and his new film when the director hasn’t made any path-breaking or pan-Indian film like RRR or Pushpa so far.
