Superhero films enjoy a phenomenal craze in India. The successes of The Batman Trilogy, The Avengers series, and the Spiderman series in India prove the same. But that is not the case anymore. The Marvel and DC films are slowly losing fandom in the Indian subcontinent.
The death of superheroes like Iron Man and Captain America and the multiple changes in the cast of the Batman series are making these films lose steam in our country. For example, DC’s new film, The Flash, has hit the screens today.
Everyone thought that it would pose a serious threat to Adipurush, considering its fandom in India. But the bookings prove otherwise. Adipurush is witnessing phenomenal bookings while The Flash is failing to get minimum footfalls.
It is predicted that Adipurush may open with a nett of Rs. 80-90 crores on the first day while The Flash may get Rs. 5-6 crores opening. Sadly, most of the 3D screens were allocated to The Flash and not Adipurush due to prior agreements.
However, they can be shifted to Adipurush after a week. On the whole, The Flash, which everyone thought was a threat to Adipurush, is making zero impact on its counterpart.
