Adipurush: Rs 50 Lakhs For Just 2 Scenes?

Sonal Chauhan, has recently appeared in Adipurush, a highly anticipated film. However, her role in the movie turned out to be forgettable, disappointing both her fans and audiences.

Sonal portrayed the character of Mandodhari, the wife of Ravan, in Adipurush. Mandodhari holds significant importance in the epic tale of Ramayana, leading many to assume that Sonal would have a substantial role in the film.

To everyone’s surprise, Sonal’s screen time was limited to just two scenes in the three-hour-long movie. In these brief appearances, she barely had two dialogues. Director Om Raut made the decision to trim down Mandodhari’s role in his modernized version of Ramayana.

The audience’s disappointment was evident, as they had expected Sonal to have a more prominent presence in the film. Many felt that she could have been given a few more scenes to showcase her talent. Adding to the disappointment, Sonal was conspicuously absent from the film’s promotions, further raising questions about her role in Adipurush.

Interestingly, reports have revealed Sonal Chauhan’s remuneration for the film, which was a staggering amount of Rs 50 lakhs. Considering her minimal screen time and dialogue, many find it difficult to justify such a substantial payment for her limited contribution.
