Karan Johar is making his directorial comeback after seven years with his new film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the teaser of this family entertainer was released recently.
The teaser doesn’t feature any dialogue. Instead, it introduces us to a melodious track called Tum Kya Mile, sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. A visual montage complements this soothing track. Going by the teaser, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani looks like a typical Karan Johar drama with a lot of family melodrama, romance and comedy.
Ranveer and Alia impress us with their sizzling chemistry. The film also features legendary veterans Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in key roles. On the whole, the film seems to have all elements that can strike a chord with family audiences.
We have to see if Karan Johar can rescue Bollywood in these tough times. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani is slated for a worldwide release on July 28, 2023. Viacom 18 Studios and Dharma Productions are jointly bankrolling the project.
