During the promotions of Jai Lava Kusa, NTR revealed how he gathered information about Ravana and the Ramayana.
“I read the book ‘Asura’ by Anand Neelakanta to learn about Ravana. Ravana is the king of 18 worlds and the emperor of Asuras. He must be the master of all the worlds. All these characteristics should be visible in the portrayal of Ravana. When Ravanasura sees Rama during the war, Rama himself praises him, saying, ‘You are such a great person.'” said NTR.
NTR emphasized the importance of portraying Ravana so that even the enemy should acknowledge his greatness.
The depiction of Ravana with ten heads arranged in two rows and an unconventional hairstyle has led to backlash from Prabhas’ fans directed at director Om Raut.
