Why Is Rajamouli Not Invited By Oscar Academy?

The news is everywhere that the likes of top Telugu stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR, along with legendary filmmakers like Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar are invited by ‘The Academy’ to join them, which will now give them the power to vote in the next year’s academy nominations. That’s a big thing for sure, but then, where is SS Rajamouli in this?

Without SS Rajamouli, there is no question of Ram Charan and NTR joining hands for a movie, and the whole “RRR” phenomenon is possible only because of his creative brilliance and marketing talents. Even after the song “Naatu Naatu” won Oscar Award, and RRR got accolades from many Hollywood filmmakers including the likes of James Cameron and Steven Spielberg, it is quite a shocker that Rajamouli hasn’t got the invite from the academy yet.

While RRR’s art director Sabu Cyril, cinematographer Senthil, composer Keeravani and lyric writer Chandrabose also got invited, is it a wonder or error that ‘The Academy’ didn’t call Rajamouli to join them? Both Keeravani and Chandrabose will automatically become members as they won an Oscar already.

Usually, Oscar sends the list all at once, and, sadly, this year’s new list of 398 persons from film fraternities all over the globe hasn’t seen Rajamouli’s name.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sent invites to 398 artists and executives. Here are some names of the very talented technicians from India. The notable recognitions were also listed for each technician.
