Trusted aide of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and staunch loyalist of Congress party KVP Ramachandra Rao has made his comments on the reports of YS Sharmila’s entry into the Congress. Rajya Sabha MP KVP came to Gannavaram airport to meet Rahul Gandhi. He spoke to the media.
“As a Congressman, we welcome YS Sharmila, daughter of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, into the Congress party.” KVP indicated that the Congress leaders have information about Sharmila’s entry. Thus, he confirmed the merger of Sharmila’s YSRTP with the Congress.
Meanwhile, talking about the Congress party’s prospects in AP and the centre, KVP said, ” In order to strengthen the Congress party in AP, Rahul Gandhi and Congress central leadership is taking into account the problems of Andhra. We’re briefing the state problems to Rahul Gandhi. The people of Andhra Pradesh are realising the injustice meted out to the state by the BJP. Both the YSRCP and TDP are not putting pressure on the BJP for the implementation of pending works of the AP Reorganisation Act. Congress party is going to form the government at the Centre in 2024. We’ll do justice to AP.”
KVP went on to state that the Congress party had lost the 2018 polls in Telangana by forging electoral alliance with the TDP. He said the leaders of AP Congress are building the party brick-by-brick in the truncated state. He exudes confidence that the Congress party would revive in Andhra Pradesh.
