Like Bollywood, Tollywood was also hit by the drugs angle in actress Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has categorically confirmed that b-town beauties Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan have some links in connection with the case.
Ever since this news broke out, the Telugu media is haunting Rakul Preet Singh as she is a popular face in the Telugu states. She is unreachable for a comment and on Thursday, she approached the Delhi High Court.
Rakul filed a petition in the court and urged the court to give directives to the Information Broadcasting ministry to restrict the media from these trails and sensationalism. Hearing the petition, the bench led by Justice Naveen Chawla said the media should have its own terms of ethics.
Then Justice Chawla served interim orders to IB ministry, Prasara Bharati, News Broadcasters Association and Press Council of India. The court also said if the ministry finds anything wrong in this whole episode, they have all the rights to take appropriate action.
