Trend: Telugu Music Directors Running Out Of Work

Tollywood is currently facing a shortage of music directors, particularly for projects involving star heroes. As a result, the options are limited to Thaman or Devi Sri Prasad. Despite the higher remunerations demanded by Tamil and Malayalam music directors, the producers in Tollywood are running after them and the trend indicates the same.

Anirudh Ravichander is lined up for Jr NTR’s “Devara” and Vijay Devarakonda’s next movie, both of which are high-budget films, with the pre-production work set to begin soon.

Surprisingly, GV Prakash Kumar has taken on four projects simultaneously, while Ravi Teja’s film with Tiger Nageswara Rao is generating a lot of buzz. Nitin and Venky’s combination for “Kudumulu” has also piqued interest. The work on Vaishnav Tej’s “Adikesava” is already completed. Venky Atluri’s upcoming film with Dulquer Salmaan is also in the works.

Furthermore, AR Rahman is working on Ram Charan’s next and Naga Chaitanya’s film with Chandu Mondeti.

Harris Jairaj is currently composing for Naga Shaurya’s next movie and Nithin-Vakkantham Vamsi’s project, which is scheduled for release this year.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who recently worked on “Custody,” is already busy composing for Vishwak Sen’s next.

While Anoop Rubens and Mickey J Meyer are available, they are facing challenges in handling big projects.

On the other hand, Gopi Sundar and Hesham Abdul Wahab are also occupying the Telugu films space which indicates the dominance of music directors from other languages in Telugu.
