Megastar Has A Big Chance, Will He Use It?

Megastar Chiranjeevi delivered a terrific blockbuster at the beginning of the year with “Waltair Veerayya”. The film hasn’t impressed critics for its routine content, but the engaging commercial action film has won the hearts of the audience as it raced past ₹135+ crores ‘share’ collection in its full run. And here is he again, with a mega chance in hand.

Once again the Matinee Idol has picked up an interesting remake, this time the Tamil film Vedalam, which is being brought as “Bholaa Shankar”. The film is set for an August 11th release and surprisingly there are no big competitors around. Though Superstar Rajnikanth’s Jailer (Aug 10 release) is a mighty competition, for now, the first look, songs and other stuff from the movie aren’t so impressive. That gives Megastar a big chance to rock the Telugu states.

While Bholaa’s music is also not so foot-tapping, surely Megastar will do magic on the screen with his steps and grace. At the same time, the routine mass formula teaser that was released recently has impressed mega fans, thus guaranteeing a big opener.

If Megastar promotes the film aggressively after his return from the USA and takes it to all the corners of Telugu states, surely the film might mint huge money though it’s not a big holiday season like Sankranthi. And if he proves again by rushing into the ₹100 crores ‘share’ club, that will be a miracle and magic of sorts. Let’s see what happens.
