Uppena Director’s Comment Irking Miss Shetty

Some people in the film industry are just honest with the way they say things, and their comments might irk some other celebs for unwanted reasons. Looks like something of that sort happened with a recent comment made by Uppena director Buchi Babu at a small film’s pre-release event.

Apparently, Uppena director Buchi Babu not only scored a blockbuster on debut but literally made heroine Krithi Shetty a superstar overnight. She signed half a dozen films at a go until the likes of Sreeleela Storm and back to back flops have slowed down her career. During a film function the other day, Buchi Babu said, “I’ve tried to take a Telugu girl for my debut film, but didn’t find one. For my next movie, I’m trying hard again to find a Telugu heroine” he said. These comments are quite irking as many felt that Kriti is the first choice for that movie.

Also, the comments led to a new doubt if Sreeleela will be part of #RC16, which happens to be Buchi Babu’s next. Though the names like Janhvi Kapoor were heard predominantly, the director’s revelation is giving rise to speculation if Global Star Ram Charan will opt for a native Telugu heroine this time.
