Guntur Kaaram: Mahesh Babu need to sort out many things on return

No other Telugu film in recent times has been in the news like Mahesh Babu’s upcoming rustic entertainer Guntur Kaaram. It is not for some good reasons, though. Several big names in the cast and crew were dropped after the film went on floors, the script was altered many times and shooting schedules were cancelled. 

All this pandemonium not just led to an inordinate delay but also created a negative buzz on the project despite boasting a heady combination in the form of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram who previously delivered critically acclaimed films like Athadu and Khaleja. 

Keeping all this aside, Mahesh Babu embarked on a long vacation to celebrate his birthday abroad. Meanwhile, the makers of Guntur Kaaram managed to neutralize the negativity to some extent by releasing two posters yesterday as a birthday treat to his fans. Mahesh is expected to return from vacation shortly. 

Upon his return to India, Mahesh has a lot of things to sort out. He will need to finalize the tunes composed by SS Thaman.  The team is planning to unveil one song every month to create a strong buzz on the film. Also, Mahesh will need to take a call on the new cinematographer because PS Vinod took an unceremonious exit due to unknown reasons. Besides these, Mahesh should also give his nod for the foreign locations where a couple of songs will be shot after the completion of the talkie part. 

Despite facing so many setbacks and challenges throughout the production, Trivikram Srinivas is still confident that the film will hit the screens for the Sankranthi season. All he needs is good coordination from Mahesh and the rest of the team for the next four months. 

Guntur Kaaram has Sree Leela and Meenakshii Chaudhary as the female leads. Haarika and Hassine Creations is bankrolling the film. January 12th is locked as the release date.
