In North America, Jailer is shattering numerous existing records in the first weekend. By the end of Saturday, the film screamed past the $ 3 million mark with its stupendous run. After embarking on a record-breaking start with close to $ 950K from its Wednesday premieres, Jailer posted impressive numbers with $ 620K and $ 765K on Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday, the film created a rampage with more than one million haul and breached into the $ 3 million club in style. The film is expected to rake in more than $ 4 million by the end of the first weekend. It is poised to emerge as the second-biggest Kollywood hit of all time in its full run.

Besides North America, Jailer is on a record-breaking spree in other Overseas locations like Gulf and Australia with $ 4M and A$ 1M by the end of the first weekend. Also, in countries like Srilanka and Singapore, where Rajinikanth commands a huge following, Jailer is making a strong moolah in the first weekend. Rajinikanth’s crowd-pleasing screen presence coupled with Nelson’s commercial packaging ensured that Jailer secured rave reviews despite its narrative shortfalls.
