Rana Publicly Apologizes To Sonam Kapoor

Rana Daggubati has issued a clarification and heartfelt apology after his recent comments at an event stirred controversy and negativity towards Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor. In a tweet, Rana expressed regret for the misunderstanding caused by his comments and emphasized that his intention was light-hearted banter.

At an event in Hyderabad, Rana Daggubati had made a comment without naming anyone, mentioning a ‘Bollywood heroine’ wasting actor Dulquer Salman’s time on the sets of their film, “The Zoya Factor.”

However, his comments led to speculation and criticism, resulting in negativity towards Sonam Kapoor.

In his tweet, Rana stated, “I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner.” He further clarified that his comments were meant as playful banter exchanged between friends and expressed regret for any misunderstanding.

Rana Daggubati extended his heartfelt apologies to both Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman, whom he holds in high esteem. He hoped that his clarification would put an end to any speculation and misunderstanding.
