Director Upset With These Rumors

Amidst the growing excitement for Kushi, a buzz was created around it through a musical concert organized by the film’s crew. However, along with the excitement, various rumors began circulating about the movie, particularly concerning the cast’s remunerations, including director Shiva Nirvana.

One piece of news that gained traction was the reported remuneration amounts: Vijay received Rs. 23 crores, and Samantha received Rs. 4.5 crores and director Shiva Nirvana supposedly received Rs. 12 crores.

However, director Shiva Nirvana promptly addressed these rumors in an interview, categorically denying the accuracy of the reported remuneration figures. He expressed his surprise upon seeing the news and mentioned that even his friends called him to inquire about it.

Shiva Nirvana went on to explain that such reports can be misleading and cause unnecessary confusion. He humorously mentioned how even his mother was taken aback by the remuneration news and questioned him about the same.

Furthermore, Shiva Nirvana revealed that he did not take any remuneration for writing the songs in the film. He penned all the songs in the audio album. While he didn’t disclose the exact remuneration amount, industry speculation suggests it could be around Rs. 5 crores.

Kushi is gearing up for a grand release on the 1st of September, 2023.
