BO: Kushi Does Good Job, Monday Test Crucial

Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha starrer “Kushi”, which was carved by Shiva Nirvana, had an extremely good Sunday at the Telugu box office. With the Overseas collection and Nizam collections almost closer to breakeven, here is how the film is actually faring at the box office.

With a solid Sunday, maker officially announced that it collected nearly ₹70+ crores gross from the worldwide box office, thus recovering more than 70% of the theatrical sales already. The film did a theatrical business of nearly ₹50 crores, and a 100 cr gross collection will make it a successful movie. Kushi collected nearly $1.4 million already in the USA markets and it crossed the breakeven line successfully.

This Monday is crucial for the movie to create a solid impact when it comes to collections, however, the ‘rainy season’ that just arrived is appearing like a major hurdle for the movie. Apart from that, as there is no competition around for the film until Friday, September 7, which is when Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, and Jawan are arriving, Kushi could really do well.
