One Viral Song & Salaar Date; Will It Favour?

One sudden entrant into the September release fray is none other than short films to silver screen fame Kiran Abbavaram’s “Rules Ranjann”. As the young hero’s previous films bitten dust majorly at the box office, there was no buzz around this movie until a viral song happened, and now another viral equation has been added to it.

Directed by ace producer AM Ratnam’s son Krishna, this film has been aiming for a release for a long time and finally occupied the slot left vacant by Prabhas’ Salaar, ie Sept 28th.

Definitely, the date is a huge thing because it went viral everywhere as the Prabhas’ starrer fetched huge importance to the date in the last six months. Apart from the date, what Rules Ranjann has towards it is the viral ‘Sammohanuda’ song where youth went gaga with Neha Shetty’s tempting glamour and one crazy waist-gyrating dance step. But the moot question is, will these two things help Kiran Abbavaram get that eluding success?

Apparently routine content is not exciting audiences these days; either the film should have a novel concept or a non-stop comedy like a Samajavaragamana. Only then, films will work. Now that Rules Ranjann has this viral touch through the song and date, surely the content has to do the rest of the show for it to click. And meanwhile, we have to see how the film gets promoted.
