In recent developments, it has been confirmed that renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s next directorial venture will indeed be a Pan-India film featuring Rishab Shetty, known for his role in ‘Kantara’ (2022). This highly anticipated period drama has exciting details emerging.

Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the driving force behind Vibri Motion Pictures, known for producing, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Jayalalithaa biopic ‘Thalaivii’ (2021), and the acclaimed sports biopic ’83’ (2021), is set to produce this ambitious historical saga. As with many of Ashutosh Gowariker’s films, this project delves into history, focusing on one of South India’s most prominent rulers who held sway over the entire southern region.

According to insiders, Ashutosh Gowariker was adamant about casting a South Indian actor for the role, given the character’s origins and eventual rise to an emperor. Rishab Shetty, with his rustic charm, perfectly fits the bill, making him the ideal choice.

The film is poised to be a grand visual spectacle, with Vishnu Vardhan Induri and the entire team excited to have Rishab Shetty on board.
